Cocoa beach in June - where to stay?
Our family is going to be in the Cocoa Beach area for 3 days in June. (I was actually set on Siesta Key but my dad wants to go to the coast side to show my daughter, who's 11 years old, the bigger waves as she's never seen the ocean)
So, wondering if anyone can give me some good advice as to where to stay. Preferring hotels with suites or a condo as we are all family but 3 separate "groups" (ie parents; my husband, daughter and I; and my adult brother). Also, please keep the posts about Cocoa Beach or the coast side as I want to do this for my dad since he normally doesn't have too many opinions about things. Thanks in advance!!! |
Check vrbo.com for condo rentals. If you see something you like, post back with the name of the complex and I can tell you more about it.
For hotels, the Best Western Cocoa Beach has suites that were renovated last year. Further north (nearer Port Canaveral) Royal Mansions is a vacation condo complex with a variety of configurations. |
We stayed at the Hilton Cocoa Beach about three years ago. I don't necessarily recommend it, though, unless it's been majorly renovated. (The rooms didn't have balconies, for instance.)
But, next door to the Hilton was a very nice-looking condo/hotel complex. I can't remember its name, though. It sits right on the beach, which I highly recommend. :)>- |
Maureen, you're thinking of the Resort on Cocoa Beach.
Most everything on the beach has been renovated since the 2004 hurricane season, but IIRC, the Hilton has the floor to ceiling windows, not balconies. |
We stayed at that Hilton a year ago December. I would not stay there again. As mentioned, the place next door looked nice. We were in the DoubleTree for an event, and that was much nicer than the Hilton. The reason I would opt against the Hilton is service, and while the room wasn't bad, the bathroom left a lot to be desired.

Thanks for the info everyone! I will get on vrbo.com and repost.
