coastal trip campobello to ogunquit
 

We are planning a coastal trip in maine for next summer. can go from late June thru august. when is better in terms of fog, crowds, etc? will fly to bangor, rent car and go up to campobello. what and where should we see and stop at on the way down the coast. also any art museums on the way ( besides in ogunquit and camden/rockport area)? IS bar harbor too crowded - go on weekdays or skip>
