Coastal Connecticut
We'll be meandering home from Uncasville (Mohegan Sun) Ct. back to NY and would love any suggestions about coastal towns to visit in Ct. I've glanced at Old Saybrook, New London, Guilford and Noank (Groton) and am now thoroughly confused. Any help would be much appreciated.

Noank if you like clams
Old Lyme if you like art Groton if you like atomic submarines New London if you like the Coast Guard or Eugene O'Neill Essex if you like steam trains |
Madison, CT is very nice. You could stay at the Madison Beach Hotel.

Sorry, I am celebrity challenged.
I just don't get visiting sites associated with celebrities unless their houses are open to view so you can see something of what they were like, e.g., the Truman White House in Key West: it is revelatory. Personally, I would like to leave a wreath outside Elie Wiesel's apartment, but that would be hard on the neighbors. |
Lyme has the Florence Griswold Museum for American Impressionist. Mystic has Mystic Seaport and Noank has good lobster rolls. All are pleasant.
