I've never been there but I notice some slight deceptions on their web site. They mention that the Clearwater Aquarium, the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary and the Jolley Trolley are "nearby". You would have to drive to either place and that's one of my big complaints about Clearwater -- there's a lot of traffic and it's very congested. Also, they mention the Jolley Trolley. I thought that the trolley stops before you get into Clearwater so you had to make a transfer. Maybe you could look into this -- or call them and ask.

I found a web site that mentioned that the exterior of this hotel was very 1960s. So it is most likely an older place -- but that should not deter you. Many of the older places were made better than those that came in the 1970s and 1980s. Most likely, this is a 2-story 1960s complex, not a high rise.

THANKS Tandoori Girl. Which one of the two Inns were you refering to? Which website did you see this on? I am fine with the mom and pop hotels since many are family run and aren't over a few stories high (i'm paranoid above the second floor).

I was referring to the Palm Pavillion. Their web site is palmpavillion.com.

You also need to read the current post titled "Family beachfront lodging Clearwater Beach Florida".

Someone has replied with more information about the Palm Pavillion.
