clothing optional beach-Hawaii

Wondering if Maui or Kauai had any clothing optional beaches, or private beaches.
Thanks

Andy,

All beaches in Hawaii are public, by law, and there are no "nude" beaches. However, if you read Frommer's or one of the other good travel guides, they clue you in to some secluded beaches where people take a chance, and wear only a smile at times. But it isn't legal, and people do get busted every now and then!

Some of the southeastern beaches on Maui are frequented by the clothing optional crowd. They're off the beaten path and away from the resorts.

The only nude beach that I know of on Maui is "little beach" in Wailea. It is next to Makena aka "big beach." You have to cross over a natural rock wall to reach it though. Have fun!

Again, there is no real "nude beach", but Smitty is right, a lot of people do take it all off at "little beach" but they also periodically get busted there, too! Just so you know................

The last time we were on Little Beach the vast majority..(80-90%) were nude.

Kauai has several beaches that are so secluded, it is easy to go nude.

the aanr (american association for nude recreation) puts out a recreational guide you might want to look into. its pretty complete.
