We are taking a business trip to San Antonio next month and would like to be close to the Riverwalk, Alamo, etc. Our price range is in the $100-$150 range. Any good suggestions? Location is the most important factor.

The historic Menger Hotel, across the street from the Alamo, a short stroll to River Walk. It's a great hotel, but it's been a few years so I don't know about rooms in your price range.

TripAdvisor.com is a good hotel search site. It has a comments section and links to travel publications and sites like Fodors & Frommers for each listing.

The Hilton is right on the Riverwalk. Very cool location.

There are numerous hotels along or very near the Riverwalk. At FlyerTalk.com, many people have given very good reviews of the Westin Riverwalk, the Sheraton Gunther (a few blocks from the Riverwalk), and the Hilton. There are also two very large Marriott properties. Some of these may be somewhat more than your price range.

Yes, Scarlett, there is a Hyatt Riverwalk Marriott Rivercenter is attached to River Center Mall; Marriott Riverwalk is across the road on Commerce Street.

We stayed at the Marriott River Center in November. Check around for your best rate on line, you might be able to get something good that includes breakfast. A 4* hotel, and service was excellent, as was the location on the river walk.
