Closest Airport from Long Island
 

Can anyone tell me what airport is the closest from Long Island? Is it JFK, LaGuardia or Newark?

Closest from Long Island to where? Manhattan? JFK and LaGuardia are ON Long Island. In terms of miles, La Guardia is probably the closest, but all would be less than 20 miles from Manhattan. Not sure what you are looking for.

Definitely not Newark.
Long Island is big. Where in Long Island? I used to live on Long Island and where I lived JFK was closest.
There's Islip airport too.

While JFK and LaGuardia are technically on LI, I believe Islip/MacArthur would be best described as located on Long Island, but where is your destination?

Islip...small and not all airlines use it. Where are you going ?

Islip is closest (does not do international flights).
JFK is second closest.

perhaps unrelated, but my brother lives on Long Island..he begs us to fly into LaGuardia when we're travelling (from Canada) to visit - hates picking up at JFK and even more so at Newark.
