the Holiday Inn Clearwater has one of the nicest stretches of beaches in the area. Also take a short drive over to the little island of Dunedin, it has remote beaches with beautiful dunes.

I'm staying at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort; 1160 Gulf Boulevard Clearwater for a few days during my honeymoon...it looks like a good spot.

You'll want to watch out for a stretch between the Adams Mark and Shephards Beach as it has no beach at all but a cement jetty. Adams Mark is closest to the Pier 61 where there is music and lots of activity.

Suggest giving Treasure Island a look - the beach is very nice (completely rebuilt in 2000). Nice hotels and motels right on the beach. Lots for teens to do. Also the St. Pete beach area is good - with lots to do. C

If St. Petersburg - try the Hilton Reddington Beach Hotel.
