Class Reunion in North Canton - July 2002
My 25th high school reunion is scheduled for this July. I moved out of the area 21 years ago and have been back only twice. The reunion is in North Canton (I went to Hoover High) so I need a hotel recommendation for the Canton/North Canton/Akron area. Something decent for under $100 per night would be great. Any suggestions? Thanks....

Ohio?!

There are several new hotels up a hill, street named Broadmoor (I believe). All hotels up there and built since 1995.
|
I'm sorry....yes, Ohio! Like I said, I haven't been back to the "old neighborhood" in quite some time. What city is Broadmoor Street in? I don't recognize the name.
|
Broadmore runs a good ways. Part of it is in Parma cause my son lives on Broadmore! :)))

Lenore:
We're from Cuyahoga Falls and do get back often as our families are still there. I would suggest contacting the Chamber. If you're interested in downtown Akron and remember the Quaker Oats building, it has been made into a hotel. The oat silo's are round and make for interesting rooms. Hilton used to own it but I believe it has changed ownership.

There's a Best Western located at SR91 and I-76 we used to use when visiting our kids who were attending Kent State.
|
I-76 does not run thru Canton.
|
Sorry, I didn't mean to suggest I-76 ran through Canton, the hotel is on Gilchrist which is outside Akron.
|
The hotels are on Broadmoor Circle overlooking Belden Center Mall (either Canton or North Canton).
|
Okay, I was thinking about the Belden Village area. I'm sure that section is totally built up by now. Belden was the "new" mall when I was a teenager! God, that makes me feel so OLD.

The Sheraton Suites in Cuyahoga Falls is 20 mins. away but probably them most beautiful. Had a friend get married there...
THere are tons of hotels in North Canton. Go to Expedia. com and look them up.
