Tickets go on sale today for Cirque du Soleil's Varekai in Chicago at the United Center, opens July 17. Website www.cirquedusoleil.com.

I tried 20 different performances, one ticket, best available. The response was, &quot;Tickets for the event you requested are no longer on sale.&quot;<BR><BR> Keith

I love it when you are right on the ball trying to get tix to something and either there are none left as soon as they go on sale or you get nosebleed seats even though you go to the venue ticket window and are 4th in line for tickets!

They have now updated the response to say, &quot;Tickets for the event you requested will be on sale as of April 11, 2003 at 12:00 PM. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT)&quot;<BR><BR> Keith<BR> <BR> <BR>

Actually the secret to this one was if you signed up on the Cirque du Soleil website for their free Cirque club you could get tickets in advance of sale. Unfortunately that's not useful information for this show but for future ones or ones in Las Vegas, it might be.<BR><BR>Tickets go on sale at 11:00 am CST.<BR><BR>BTW, last time we went we had very close seats like row D or F and thought we were just a bit too close to take in the entire stage. There didn't really seem to be really bad seats, not a huge venue.<BR><BR>Good luck!

We saw Varekai in Dec. in San Francisco. It was great. The show was in their tent and we had seats in the very top row, center. I thought they were very good and gave a good over view of the whole staging area. The close up seats would have you straining your neck to take it all in. <BR><BR>The Bravo channel is running a special on Monday evenings following the creation of this show, Varekai.
