Cirque Du Solei "O"

I've attempted to order "O" tickets online thru the Belliago website. All of the 100 level seats appear to be sold out for numerous Sat. in July. Are they really sold out or are they bought up by ticket agents? Is there anywhere else to purchase tickets other than through the Belliago? Any place to get discounted seats?

When started looking for tickets for this show in January, and our trip to Las Vegas was in March of last year. All tickets were sold out for the next couple of months, but we really wanted to see this show. So once we got to Vegas, we went straight to the "O" cancellation line, it was early afteroon. We waited in line for about 15 mins, and then the lady called our name saying that she had 2 second row tickets for that night's performance !!

There are no discounted seats for the Cirque shows. Another way to get tickets is to go through the Bellagio hotel concierge. You have to have a room booked there to do this though (Note you can always cancel your room after you get your tickets).

Also, on Bellagio's website, you can order an "O" show and dinner package. They have a block of seats reserved for packages. If you'll go to the Bellagio website and click on gift certificates, you will see the different dining options and price.

I wouldn't take a chance on cancelling the room at Bellagio after you buy the tickets. I did a lot of research on this and was advised not to try that. We had a room at Bellagio last summer and after booking the room, I called the conceirge and she took care of getting us tickets for all three cirque shows that we wanted to see a few months before we went. After we checked in to the hotel, we went to the concierge to get the tickets. We were sent to the O box office where there was a line of people waiting. I was just starting to get a little upset that we would have to wait, when I saw a hotel employee standing nearby and as soon as I told her we were hotel guest and had come to pick up all of our Cirque show tickets, we were taken right up to another window and we got all of the tickets there for the three shows. The seats were fantastic. So I think it was worth staying at the Bellagio to be assured of getting great seats to the shows we really wanted to see. Plus, it is a fabulous place to stay if you can afford to splurge.

You can purchase tickets for sold out shows on this web site. Travelnice.com. They are more expensive but they are a reputable service. We bought tickets for a sold out Elton John show. They delivered the tickets to the Bellagio where we were staying. WE received the tickets as we were checking in.
Have fun, Mary

A few months ago while we were in LV we kept calling the "O" box office and eventually got "splash" seats for the second show. They were 5th row center, and we didn't get a drop of water on us.

We paid about $100, but the prices have gone up--way up.

"O" is a great show, but I'm beginning to wonder if any show is worth the current ticket prices.

You can forget about discount tickets.

I looked on the Bellagio website and the best seats and did not like the best seats available that came up, so I called their 800# and spoke to someone. Low and behold, there were tickets available that were not showing on the website and I got good seats!

carlvictors Mar 28th, 2005 08:19 AM

That's good to know travelsuper ! I always get my tixs online, sometimes months in advance, and still, tixs in the center of the first 5 rows or so never show up on websites! I always wondered when the hell all of those people sitting there ordered their tixs! that could be it I guess!

Maybe they think that if you are not specifically requesting those seats, you don't want them bad enough!

So it appears as though there may be good seats available on the day of the show. It would only make sense for the brokers that buy up tickets to sell with packages return them. I may take the chance and wait. We will be in Vegas at the start and end of our Grand Canyon trip in July. While I would like to see "O", I won't be totally disappointed if we don't. I hate to spend the amount they want for tickets in the last row of the balcony which is all I can get online right now. We'll wait and see if we can get something once there. Thanks for the advice.

I just returned from Vegas and we saw O last Thursday. Simply fantastic. Worth the $250 for tickets! We have seen 2 or 3 other cirque shows at home and this one was so unique with all the water involved. You will find the money well spent...

They should definitely make a documentary on what goes on behind the scenes under the water...I'd love to know what goes into it...we could see some divers under the water that really were not part of the show but more to help with the actors and move some of the props...

We have a trip planned for June and were considering the "O" show. Would you suggest this show for 10, 11, and 13 year olds? This is a lot of money to spend and I want to make sure they will enjoy it. Also, what do you think about them seeing the Lance Burton show? Also, a lot of money to spend. Any comparable alternatives that anyone can suggest?

The kids will be mesmerized by O. There is a loose "story" but they will just be fascinated by all the flying and dancing and music.

BeachBoi Apr 22nd, 2005 09:19 AM

O is not to be missed, IMHO.Talent, talent , talent.Among the cast-an Olympic diver and the premier male in synchronized swimming. And much more.

My daugther and son-in-law went to Vegas in March. They stayed at the Bellagio on a package deal with a local tour operator - paying the lowest possible price for an air and hotel package. I called the "O" ticket line and was able to get very good seats for them with no hassle (anniversary gift). The box office does reserve the center section seats for hotel and casino guests.

Have you tried calling the box office? The kids did have to show their room key at the box office to retrieve the tickets. I think this may be how they prevent people from reserving rooms, getting tickets and then cancelling the rooms. If you don't already have your hotel, try a cheap package that offers the Bellagio. It might work.

I agree. Your kids will love "O." If they were younger, then I'd say you might want to reconsider. I know it's a LOT of money to spend. Maybe you can try Mystere. I think that's just as amazing! Lance Burton is great too if they like magic and illusions.

We just saw "O" last Thursday 4/14. I ordered the tickets in February and got the Limited View for $93 pp. The limited view is a great seat .... 5% limited is what I was told when we got there to pick up our tickets but there was no blockage of our view. Dead Center row R seats 1 and 2 in section 203. call the Bellagio desk direct after checking the Bellagio website under entertainment. You won't be sorry. It was the most fantastic show we have ever seen and we have seen Cirque shows before. The water, swimmers, stage changes are unbelievable. Have fun, you should be able to get good seats now for July. You may need to try the 10:30 show but still worth it.
