circle line tours

My husband and i are interested in the Circle Line Tour on Miss New York to see the NY skyline this weekend (memorial day). What is the best time to take the tour? 6:00pm right before sunset? We arrive on Friday evening and depart on Monday evening so sometime over the weekend.

Highly recommend the Circle Line Harbor Lights cruise which leaves from their dock at the western end of 42nd Street. You do not need reservations, but it's a good idea to get there about 1/2 before departure in case there's a bit of a line at the ticket window.

I have taken the Harbor Lights tour twice. it is very enjoyable and the views are beautiful!

Highly endorse the votes for the Harbour Lights tour - we went in August and it was fantastic.

thanks for that
but what about the battery park harbor tour if maybe we just want to do one for an hour. they have one at 6:00pm. have you done that before? also is it necessary to get tickets in advance? i have tried to call a number of times and there is always a long wait on the telephone?
