The week between Christmas and New Year is one of the busiest and most crowded times at Disneyworld. The week BEFORE Christmas however is slower (because many would rather go after Christmas), and that's the week we chose to go last December. The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World has a crowd rating and compares the crowds week by week, so I bought that guide book. I heard that the week after Christmas, lines are long, parks close to people when they reach the maximum capacity. Any week you choose to go, the best strategy is to go to the park early, right at opening time, hit the popular rides first and get them out of the way and make advance dinner/lunch reservations before you go or you may eat only at counter-service places and not table-service restaurants because there may not be any tables available.
