Christmas gift ideas for Canadians with second home in Phoenix
Family members have a second home in Phoenix which they have so thoroughly stocked that they need only go to the airport with passport and wallets in hand for a trip down there from Alberta. For longer stints (and when they are taking the dog) they drive.
So...what the heck kind of gift can I possibly get them for Christmas?? They are in their 50s; still gainfully employed; obviously "comfortable" as the English relatives would say. Is there something to give people who do a lot of backing and forthing between 2 homes across a border?
Thanks!

Research what are good independent restaurants in the cuisines they may like, and get a gift certificate. It is a little more challenging than ordering one from a chain. You have to actually have to call the restaurant and have it mailed.

Perhaps they would enjoy some local activities?
If they like Jazz, you could get them some tickets to a show:
http://www.thenash.org/
or here:
http://jazzinaz.org/
They might enjoy a tour here:

Or if they like all kinds of music:
http://mim.org/
OR here for a nice afternoon:
http://www.heard.org/
A membership in any of the above would work too.
If you want some restaurant recommendations, I can give you some.
If there is no way for you to buy tickets as a gift [not know their schedule, their exact tastes etc - give them a homemade IOU for the tickets of their choice.
