Christmas Eve in Los Angeles
Visiting our 20-something son who doesn't want to go to church! I already posted a general question but thought I'd try this specific one. Places for festive dinners? Other funky things to do? Thanks in advance!

Adding specificity, he's in the Miracle Mile area and we're staying in Los Feliz. Looking for all sorts of ideas, not limited to those areas but also not looking to travel too far, like to Long Beach, for example. Thanks. If any local folks see newspaper articles of listings I would appreciate the link. I've searched online but only find listings that are several years old.

Not a heck of a lot to do other than dine. There is the free holiday celebration at the Dorothy Chandler, but that goes from about 2 until early evening.
After that, Christmas eve at the movies (we generally do that Christmas day).
Otherwise, another thing we have done in the past is drive around and look at the Christmas lights in various neighborhoods. You can google where they are. Or walk around Beverly Hills at night . . . the only time I ever drive down Rodeo Drive! Wilshire, by the Beverly Wilshire Hotel is good for decorations!
