By the way it's first Christmas my husband will spend with my family so I want everything be really good!!! thanks.

For a view of Times Square with the ball drop and dinner New Years Eve, expect to pay at a very minimum of $250 per person for lousy food.

The only restaurant I would even think about eating at would be Foley's Fish House in the Renaissance Hotel in Times Square.

The Broadway Bar at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square would be another good place to have drinks and watch the ball drop but again, plan on $250 per person.

I highly suggest you skip Times Square and get the heck out of Midtown for New Years.

Downtown would be fun and there is also a big concert at St. John The Divine Cathedral.

Don't know if you can see the ball, but we thought the restaurant at the top of Marriott Marquis was pretty good and the views, great.
