Traffic will be very light. Don't know where in Central Jersey you're coming from, so I can't offer a time figure. Just allow enough time for parking....and just remember not to drive or park in the Rockefeller Center area, the only place where there might be congestion because of the tree!

Not only is traffic light, it is one of the few days when you may be able to park on the street instead of paying an arm & a leg. Though maybe not that late in the day.

my father, is handicapped, has to be dropped at Radio City. Is that going to be a problem?

Leaving at 1 you should be in the city by 3 with no problem. You should also have no problem dropping your father off at Radio City, just come right up Sixth Avenue and pull up in front of Radio City. You can then find parking from there.

After dropping your father off, just make sure you drive west (i.e., left) towards the Hudson and NOT right towards Rockefeller Center and Fifth Avenue, where there will be what probably the only congestion in the city that day!
