Christmas Day Dinner in Charleston SC

My husband and I will be spending Dec 23rd, 24th and 25th in Charleston this year. Can't wait to see the city dressed for Christmas, but don't know where to eat Christmas dinner. We love Husk, Magnolias, Oak Steak House and SNOB, but wonder if anyone has any suggestions for Christmas Day and what might be open that day. Thanks,

It's different every year. Many will be closed at supper time.
The best advice I can give you is to look on opentable.com, and see who can accomodate you on Christmas day.

Here's a list from last year:

And don't totally depend on OpenTable--call the restaurant directly.

Charleston Place is decorated to the nines for the holidays. And their top flight restaurant, Charleston Grille, will be open. Reservations will go fast.

Right. The hotel restaurants will be open, but like DRJ said, make reservations soon.

I will be following this thread as we will be in Charleston for Christmas as well!

And Gretchen is right about depending on opentable for reservations. But you can see what's open.

I always call directly to a restaurant that shows no availability on opentable. More times than not, there is room. Most restaurants don't release all tables to opentable.

Thanks so much for all the great advice; I will start my search for reservations today!!

Have a great time. I love Christmas in Charleston.

Just to follow up; I called Charleston Grill and they were already booked up til 8:45 PM, so I took a chance and called Magnolia and was able to get a spot at 7:45 on Christmas Day. Thanks so much for the heads up on early planning! Now to plan a "walkaround" for the rest of the day since we'll probably have trouble finding sights which are open on Christmas.
