Bing Crosby is a staple - the album with just his head wearing a santa hat on the cover. Also like Amy Grant (both albums are good, but the first is better). I also like Winter Solstice, put out by Wyndham Hill - great instrumentals.

jimmyk64, I had read in "People" that the Diana Krall album and the new Brian Wilson Christmas album were great .... so I went out today to investigate. Listened to them at Barnes & Noble, and they were fabulous, both of them, so I now own them! :-d RUN to get them, people .... if you like the singers, these albums are exceptional!

I'm listening to...

James Taylor
Bing Crosby (my all-time favorite)

I also like the Diana Krall CD....

and of course, The Nutcracker :)

I think I want the Diana Krall cd now!

Okay, guys, I've had a chance to listen fully to the new Brian Wilson and Diana Krall Christmas CDs that I bought. Brian's is pure Beachboy-style Christmas music, Diana's is very swingy and very jazzy. If you love both those music styles, then you will love the albums. I think each of those styles override the Christmas-y feeling of both collections ... a little too much for my DH, for example. He wants Frank and Bing at Christmas! :-d But if you love the artists, go for them! I got the new Michael McDonald from Hallmark; love Michael but I get more of a Michael-feel from that CD than I do a Christmas feel ....

((8))Hope everyone is making "good progress" toward the 25th! ((8))
