Choosing room at Caesar's Palace?
 

Hello - My friend and her soon-to-be 21- year-old daughter will be at Caesar's Palace for 3 nights in Sept. Can someone help me with requesting the right tower? Which is the most updated, and what should they request for a nice view that is not too high up. (My friend is paranoid about staying in upper floors in hotels...)

The nicest tower is Augustus (which is also the newest), followed closely by Palace (renovated not that long ago; closest to the pool, but a long way from the front entrance). Forum is also good. Each tower is priced separately; it doesn't hurt to ask for a nicer tower, but don't count on it.

Since most people prefer rooms on higher floors, it should be easy enough to get a low floor -- but I don't know which rooms will have a nice view lower down.

Thanks, lgott. They will be there Tue-Fri, so I would assume it won't be as difficult to get an upgrade? Any tips or hints on dealing with this would be great.

If there is anyone else out there with"intimate" knowledge of the CP layout, room situation, we'd be most grateful for the input.

I might be replying too late, but I have stayed at CP recently.

I can't add much to what lgott said: Definitely book the Augustus tower if you can get it.

If you book either the Palace or Forum tower, beware that one of them does not have a bathtub in the room, so ask about that if it's important.

Avoid the Roman and Centurion tower. If the booking is for a a "classic" room with no tower specified, that will be the Roman or Centurion tower and those rooms are old and small and they generate the worst reviews on TA.

You (or your friend) want to make sure the tower is specified at booking, don't just expect to show up and get a tower on request. You might get lucky, but maybe not, and you will almost certainly be charged to upgrade.

To reiterate what others have said, the Augustus Tower is the newest of the towers (they are building yet another tower but I don't believe it is open yet) but the Palace Tower has recently been renovated and is very similar to the Augustus. Both Augustus and Palace Towers rooms are quite large (over 500 square feet)and both have marble bathrooms with double sinks, jacuzzi tub and separate shower. Forum Tower rooms would be the next best choice. These rooms have been recently renovated but are smaller than the Augustus and Palace Tower rooms. The other two towers - Roman and Centurion - are lower on the list. I am not certain if either of these towers have been renovated. If they have not been, the rooms are likely to be quite dated. Regarding views, I am not sure which would offer the best view. Some of the Augustus Tower rooms have views of the Bellagio fountains. Best bet is to ask for a room with a strip view.
