Chnces of reduced airfare-RT Newark to LAX?

Looking at RT Newark\LA early April, prefer non-stop. Prices I am seeing are $600 to $700.00. All are connecting with overnight arrivals back to Newark!! I was expecting to pay max 400.00. Am I asking to much? Thanks

Can you fly out orf JFK instead of Newark? Jet Blue has fares to Long Beach for about $200 RT. USAir was also advertising $198 coast-to-coast.

What are your exact dates of travel? Does it include a Saturday night stayover?

Will be heading towards Ventura so LAX is best & would really prefer Newark. Yes, Saturday night stay-over. Departing Newark 4\4 & returning Easter,4\11. Thanks I will try Expedia...

You're probably hitting up against Spring break fares...if you find one, grab it. I doubt you'll get nonstop, though.

You can try Orbitz as well, just got a rate for some people in my office traveling on business for $334.00 via American, but they are flying out of JFK.

You might want to consider also flying into Oxnard, Santa Barbara or Burbank if you are going to Ventura, as these would be closer than LAX.
