Chinese Food in D.C.

We are staying near McPherson Square area but are interesting in recommendations where to find good Chinese food in D.C. - hopefully my old favorite in Virginia is still there - Peking Gourmet Inn

Peking Gourmet Inn is still there and still good. We like Fortune and China Garden, both in VA for dim sum. Chinatown is a nice walk from McPherson and there are many good restaurants there.

Sichuan Pavilion at 1825 K Street is fine. Charlie Chiang's at 19th and I Streets, NW is okay. Mr. K's at 2121 K Street, NW gets good reviews. In Chinatown, roughly 6th and H Streets, NW, I have very much enjoyed Hunan Chinatown and Tony Cheng's Mongolian.

I work two blocks from Chinatown. My favorite place for lunch (I'm going there today) is Eat First Chinese Restaurant on the corner of 6th Street and H Street.

City Lights of China in Dupont Circle generally gets good reviews. I've eaten there several times and the food is always very good - not great - but consistent.
