Chinatown: sat or sun?

We will be in Manhattan for a weekend. We've been there before so this time we are planning to stroll in Chinatown/Little Italy/Soho.. and the other day, just explore Central Park.

We have saturday and sunday. What would you do each day? Chinatown is better (shopping) on Saturday or Sunday??

Thanks!!

Either day is the same. Everything is open all weekend.

Pat are you looking for anything in particular in Chinatown (was there this afternoon for Dim Sum and everyweekend).

There are a few hidden jewels in Chinatown, but need to know what would be of interest.

Or you could meet us for Dim Sum, lol.

Have a great time.

What are you going for? I always hear about lines for dim sum on Sunday. YOU DO WANT TO check out dim sum if you have not. Also are you going soon San Ginaro (sp) festival is still on, I think till Saturday? Not sure, I would check it out.

Sat is better than sun.
This is the way I do dimsum. I get a number from both 'Ping seafood' and 'Sweet and tart.' They are right next to each other. I stand inside one restaurant and my friend in the other. Have the cellphone ready in your hand. Last week the line in Ping moved faster, i called my friend to come over while I sat down and ordered. For real dimsum, go to Hongkong. The ones here in new york is not half as good.
With shopping, a big Pearl River Emporium has opened on broadway in soho near chinatown. v. reasonable.

Just an FYI... You can get Dim Sum any day of the week. It's traditionally eaten by people in Hong Kong for brakfast or taken with tea at midday. I'm a big fan of Sweet and Tart.
