Children discount at the museums

Hello, from the European board I've learn the museums there offer children's discounts to EU children only. Are there any American "discriminating" museums?

I've never heard of a museum offering discounts based on nationality.

Many museums do discriminate by State. That is, if you are a state resident, you can flash your driver's license or State ID, you get a discounted price.

Wow, I've never heard of such a thing! I've been to lots of states perhaps I wasn't paying attention. We certainly didn't encounter this when we visited England.

I think most museums stateside offer a children's discount, period. no matter what state or nationality you represent.

Some museums also offer a discount to members of other museums in different states - for example, a Fine Arts Museum in Mass. might offer a discount to a member (which is a paid contribution once a year which entitles you to free admission to that museum) of a Fine Arts museum in NY - don't know if EU has museum memberships, but if so and you have a membership to a museum, check that out as well.
