Chicago: Things to do

Hello all,
My friend and I going to be going to Chicago sometime in June and I wanted to know somethings. We are only 18 so does anyone now of any fun things to do at night? We will be shopping all day so any suggestions would help. Also, can anyone recommend a nice resteraunt, but that is still fairly cheap...under $50 a person. Thanks everyone.

Eat lunch at the top of the John Hancock Building. Same great view as during dinner, but lunch for 2 was about $30, and much more relaxing and less formal than dinner.

You should try to get tickets to see Blue Man Group at the Briarstreet Theater. I think you would enjoy that. Scoozi is a good Italian restaurant and it is not too expensive. Seems to have a pretty young crowd. Have fun!

Get concert tickets! Check out
Early Warnings in the music section of chireader.com

You can take the el train or walk to a lot of club sites. Call the clubs in advance to see if they are letting 18 year olds in for a particular show.

chireader.com and metromix.com both have lots of listings for restaurants and entertainment. They should help you narrow down your options.

For free music, check out this events schedule for Blues or Gospel Fest in Grant Park. Very laid-back and friendly atmosphere.
http://www.chicago.il.org/EVENTCAL.HTM

Chicago Reader is a great place to check out Music and Resturants.
chireader.com

I would highly reccomend Cafe Iberico for a unique cheaper Dining experinace. Its Tapas Bar/Resturant.

I second seeing Blue Man Group. I took my 2 daughters, ages 28 and 20 last Dec. and we all had a ball.

Another great Idea for Under 21 is
Comedy Shows - Chicago is Famous for them. Second City has 2 stages
http://www.secondcity.com/
Also try:
-Improv Olympic(mike myers and Chris Farley started here)
-Noble Fool Theater
-neofuturists

There are more - but those are the first that come to mind.
Navy Pier offers lots of fun restaurants, boat tours, and even a scenic ferris wheel. Beautiful in June!
