Chicago theater Seating
Just wondering if anyone could describe the best seating at the Theater. Ticketmaster lists Section 2L Row HH Seats 201-202. These are off two sections from center and it shows that there may not be any seats in front of 201 & 202. Has anyone sat in this area and been able to see the stage reasonably well? I don't know how it looks inside the Theater. Benise is in Concert there this Saturday and I wanted to try and get some seats.

I see what you mean. It looks like you'll be close to the action buy off to the side. I'd go for the tickets, but I can't advise: http://www.thechicagotheatre.com/med...-level-pit.pdf
I hope somebody else will check out this floor plan and let you know. HTTY |
I love that theatre. I hate getting tickets through TicketMaster because you can't really choose where you want to be. I try to get seats on the mezzanine level because you are above the main floor, but right in front. You have one of the best views. If you look at the map HTTY has a link to, I think you are going to have slightly obstructed views on that side of the stage if there is any staging/equipment/instruments there.
Here's the Chicago Theatre's map: http://www.thechicagotheatre.com/seating/. HTTY's map has more detail. |
In my experience, if seats have obstructed views, ticket buyers are informed of that before purchasing them.

We were just there on the 13th for Chris Botti and were seated in that 2nd section, row D, 210 and 212. We were off to the side, but had a clear view of the stage. There was equipment off to the side onstage, but it did not block any of our view. Looks like your seats would be great. :)
