Chicago Sept/Oct dates to avoid, conventions, etc.
 

Years ago when planning a trip to Chicago I found a helpful calendar listing of big conventions and events. My current search is turning up everything going on in the city. I am trying to find any dates to avoid due to overcrowding and increased hotel rates. Can anyone help with resource for this type of information? Thanks

You are wise to avoid those meeting/comvenrion dates. In addition to hogher hotel prices, it is hard to get into restaurants and sexure a taxi.

Chicago Marathon is Oct.8 so skip that whole weekend.
