Chicago restaurants for families

Hi, we will be staying in Chicago on Wacker Drive at the Renaissance. It has been years since we were last in Chicago. Are there restaurants nearby that are family friendly and not too expensive (other than typical fast food) Also anything open early in the morning on weekend in the area -- looking for a good breakfast spot.
thanks!

There is a Hard Rock Cafe on Ontario Street, Rainforest Cafe on Clark, Ed Debevic's on Wells street (sort of a 50's diner theme) and of course the famous Chicago Pizzarias. Take your pick, Gino's East, Uno's and Due's or any other.

If you have a young daughter don't miss the American Girl store on N. Michigan Ave. You can eat lunch or have tea in the cafe and see the American Girl review in the theater.
