chicago play

I am going to be in Chicago march 22 thru march 25. I have a 14 year old daughter and we would like to see a play. What would be a good play for my daughter and I to see?

Mama Mia. If it's playing.

Try www.chicagoplays.com for current listings and also www.metromix.com. I can't think of anything I have seen that would be appropriate for a 14 year old with the exception of Blue Man Group.

Mamma Mia was a short run and is no longer in Chicago.

"Angus Thongs, and Full-Frontal Snogging" is based on a popular teen book; don't be put off by the title. It's playing at the Griffin Theatre. "Guys and Dolls" is being revived at Court Theatre, not a Broadway-style production, but more intimate and updated. Two dance companies are appearing that week: American Ballet Thesatre, which rarely tours here anymore, at the Civic Opera House, and, my personal recommendation, Hubbard Street Dance, a local jazz/ballet troupe with worldwide popularity, at the new Harris Theatre.
www.metromix.com will link you to reviews, when available. BTW, the first two theatres are not located downtown, but both dance groups are apperaing downtown.
