CHICAGO PIZZA
Does anyone know a good place to get the famous Chicago Pizza?
Either downtown or north suburbs would be fine! Thanks in advance... |
For my money Gino's is the best example of Chicago style pizza you can get in the windy city. Gino's has two locations the one I've eaten at is one block east of Michigan Ave around the corner from Nieman-Marcus. Be forewarned the restaurant is a bit of a dump, but the pizza is great.

Pizzeria Uno, Pizzeria Due, Lou Malnati's, Giordano, Bacino's are all great Chicago pizza places that specialize in Chicago "Deep Dish" pizza. They are all located in downtown Chicago, all within walking distance of each other with the exception of Bacino's which is located in the Lincoln Park area of Chicago, one of the most restaurant rich areas of the country.

Agree with those of the names mentioned so far. Note that Uno's & Due's are NOT the same as the franchised chains found elsewhere. Also, Gino's East, if it's still around (downtown), used to be my favorite. (No longer live in Chi.)

Lou Malnotti's pizza is without a doubt the best pizza in the world. Try it with the "butter crust" recipe! By the way, Lou will ship a pizza anywhere. The # is 1-800-LOU TO GO.

The best pizza in the world is right here in Appleton Wisconsin at the Pizza Palace. It is not the deep dish like Chicago; it is the thin crust, but it is the best. Try the "SMO" (Sausage, mushrooms and onions.
