I am looking for current reviews of the Palmer House in Chicago, the few reviews posted are somewhat dated.

Our familyf (myself, dh, & 2 teens) are planning a trip to Chicao next week and would like to stay in a central location/walking distance and if possible stay at a hilton. We will not have a car and will use public transit.

It's been three years since my last stay, but I've been a frequent guest there and always found it a satisfying experience.

Stayed there earlier this year (again). Easy walk to the nearest public transit. I've always had what I consider to be a great, well-furnished clean room, too.

Palmer House brings back a memory of when I stayed there once in a room that was within my per diem allowance. A room so small I was able to touch all four walls from my bed and a visitor had to stand out in the hall - no chair. No kidding.

Wish I could help with a review. I assume you were looking at tripadvisor.com. Maybe Oyster.com has something more recent.

A great location -- hope the room is all right. The lobby is certainly impressive.
