chicago neighborhood(rogers park)

What is the neighborhood around the 1500 block of W Pratt in Rogers park in Chciago? Does anyone know if it is safe for a woman, if there is high crime in that area? Thinking about renting over there but I would like some info first.
Thanks

I lived in Rogers Park for a year about ten years ago. It definitely was a bit rough, but I loved it. The area is weird and you really have to look at the exact area. Neighborhood conditions would change by the block.

Evanston is great and just a few more blocks north.

I did get my car window broken in Roger's Park (the took my cell phone to make a LOCAL call!) and my roomate did get broken into after I moved out. It depends on how comfortable you are.

I live about 9 blocks north of Pratt. Rogers Park is now in transition, as the saying goes.

As such, there are areas that are okay and some still need some work. Morse Ave, just a couple blocks north of Pratt is still a bit rough, but even that is changing.

I also agree that it's impossible to recommend places to live without knowing your budget and what type of apartment and amenities you're looking for.
