Chicago Hotel - with Suite
 

Hello, I am probably overthinking, but we are looking for a hotel with King bed suite with sofabed, with a refrigerator, in walking distance to good restaurants. So far we have looked at Raffaelo, Sheraton Towers (by river), Embassy Suites and Hilton Suites. Any suggestions?

Are you wanting this because you have a number of people? I think that the answer to your question would be determined in how many.

Some of these suites only allow a maximum occupancy of 2-3 individuals, due to city fire codes. Some **might** allow 4 - but you normally have to be getting into the highest tier of hotel for that number. But you get any higher than that amount and it will be really difficult for you to find accommodations.*

I think that some suites at the Four Seasons may allow 5 - don't know about some of the newer luxury hotels, such as Lowe's, though.

The maximum occupancy will always be shown on the description of the rooms on the pertinent website or in their FAQs.

*That is, assuming you are going through the hotel directly in reserving this. Third parties may have contractual agreements where there is solely a maximum occupancy of two individuals and guarantee only one bed.

Hi, we have three tall adults. Two can share the King bed, but we wanted a bit of space for the third adult on the sofa bed. Thanks for the tip on the third party reservation. I was going to reserve directly.

I've stayed at both Embassy Suites on either side of Michigan ave ("downtown" and what used to be called "lakefront" though I think they recently changed its subtitle). Both are very servicable and are in good locations, though a little tired last time I was there. The one west of Mich ave is arguably better located to dining options.

We have stayed at the Embassy Suites Lakefront and the Homewood Suites. We liked both hotels, but really liked the location of the Homewood Suites best. You can walk to many restaurants and shops.
