Chicago Hotel with best lobby bar.
 

Going to Chicago for a weekend. What hotels have good Lobby bars to have a drink and people watch?

W,Penninsula,House of Blues, Hotel Allegro, Hotel Burnham has free wine in the lobby for guests, Talbott in the summer alfresco watching Gold coast crowd!

The Ritz Carlton has a large greenhouse roofed (is that a word?) lobby bar which is great. I believe its on the 7th floor.

Ritz has the best views and scope.<BR>Four Seasons has the best "elegant yet clubby" feel.<BR>Peninsula is nice but there's not as much "people traffic".<BR>

Debbie,<BR>Agree w/ pj on the Talbott. Especially in the warmer months! <BR><BR>The bar at the Holiday Inn Merch Mart was nice. I think it's up on the 10th floor (?) since that's where the hotel lobby is so you get a real good view of the beginning of the plains.<BR>We watched a big thunderstorm come rolling in. Looked like a scene from "War of the Worlds".<BR><BR>The Palmer House Hilton was nice if you sit around the corner so you can look at the beautiful lobby.<BR>Kal
