Hey Guys and Gals:

First, let me sincerely thank all of you for your help. You guys are every bit as great as Chowhounds - thanks again.

I was hoping to stay on Michigan Ave or The Magnificent Mile for under $125 per night. Sorry I was not more specific. but frankly I did not want to sound like an idiot, if that price range was not possible. That's why I just said "very reasonable"

I will try getting a price at The Westin, Hotel Monaco, and check quikbook.com. Thanks again to all.

Chuck

Checked Hotwire for this weekend and found 4 1/2 stars for $ 132 and 4 stars for $ 79 - both in the Loop. Likely you'll find similar deals at other sites and times but try several (including Hotel websites).

I had to check out of the W after 3 days because they were full. They got me a room at the Hampton Inn just off of the magnificent Mile.

Excelent hotel..very clean and the rooms were great for under $ 100/night
Even had a bar and fridge in the room, and was only a block from the mile.

My backup plan for travelling is always know where the Hampton Inn is. They cater to business people, and are always the best bang for the buck.

I just booked a weekend at Wyndham (one block off Michigan Avenue) for $99 and it includes breakfast. Booked it on Hotel.com. We stayed at the Wyndham in the fall for about $25 more w/o breakfast. Staff was very helpful and we liked the convenient location. The gotcha? Parking = $36/day.
