Do you have an Entertainment book? You can get 50% off on some of the national chains anywhere in the country. The Days Inn by Lincoln Park is very nice, not TOO far from downtown and they have a free shuttle. Not sure if rooms can accomodate 4 people, but my daughter-in-law got a room for $75 this fall using the discount. Also, try calling a hotel directly, NOT the 800 number and ask for the "best rate". You might get a $200 rate that way. Do the math on the car rental and parking which could be $40 per night, versus just taking a cab both ways from the airport (assuming you are flying and not driving in.)
