Chicago-Denver-Bronco Stadium

Bears play at Denver next season. I have free miles on Southwest and if I can get a ticket I'll go. Maybe 3 days and need a way to get to my hotel near the Stadium. Or 5 days...rent a car and drive to the hotel. Is a taxi the best way to go if it's 3 days? Want a hotel ($150 tops) near the stadium.

If you are just one person sounds like train is good choice.

HOtels "near" stadium is an oxymoron. Uber or Lyft to the stadium

The is only one hotel near the stadium and it is really not worth it. Stay I. The downtown area and take the light rail to the stadium.

Get from the airport to downtown as noted in Laurie Ann's post.
Stay downtown -- there's a dozen great lodging choices -- and then spend $7 to get right to the stadium and back:

Just checked the map. There is light rail (opened 2017) from the airport to the transportation hub at the newly rebuilt Union Station. Attached to Union Station is a nice new hotel. If you walk a block or two SW on Raven to 15th St. Turn right (N) on 15th for another block and you will be at Confluence Park where the Denver Trolley loads to go to the games. You can't beat $7/pp round trip with no parking headache.

We walked both ways from downtown, cutting through the UC Denver campus. Not bad at all, otherwise the rail is a fine option.

Two weeks ago, we took light rail downtown for brunch and then as curiousgeo mentioned, we walked through the Auraria campus to the stadium. No big deal.

Figure out what you want to do in Denver first. Getting to the game is easy.

If you haven't been able to get tickets, check StubHub. They are legitimate reseller.

If at the north end of the 16th St Mall and Union Station you can take the light rail to the game -- second stop. You have lots of options. The light rail from the middle of the 16th St Mall does not go to the stadium.
