Chicago - Best Steak House?
 

What is the best or your favorite steak house in Chicago?

In the downtown area there are several excellent steak houses. Gene & Geogettis, Elis, Chicago Chop House and the Butcher Shop are all good choices. If you want prime rib I would recommend Lawrys. All of these restaurants are well known and any cab driver should be able to take you to them.

The previous writer has not been to Chicago inawhile. Yhose used to be the places to go - Gene and Georgetti's is still good, but if you're not a regular and it is crowded, service and the wait can be slow. A new steak place that is great is the Capital Grille. Also Gibson's is great!

We ate in Gibson's last year. We will be in Chicago in June & expect to go again; it was that good. Before we went last year, my neighbor told me about two that he went to, Morton's and the Chicago Chop House which is directly across the street from The Hard Rock Cafe. You probably can't make a poor choice. ENJOY!!!

Without a doubt, Gibsons is the best steak house in Chicago.
