Chicago Beer Elephant and Castle London Pride?

Message title says it all (almost). Is it true the Elephant and Castle pub in the Radisson has London Pride on tap? This a very important question (at least to me). Please tell me it is true, and that it at least resembles a proper British pint.... Thanks!

You might get more accurate info if you contact them directly.

Agreed with Anonymous.

If you're going out into the rest of the city and want suggestions for bars with good beer scene, let us know.

Ok, I'll contact them directly, but that kind of defeats the purpose of this forum. I was hoping there was a fan or critic here.

We'll be with kids so we won't be hitting the evening bar scene, but welcome any thoughts on any unique restaurants/bar and grills in the near north or downtown area (we already have the basics (Pizza and ESPN zone) on the list. thanks!

The purpose of the forum is not to provide information that is easily, and more accurately, obtained from original sources. We are happy to share our personal experiences and insights, but specific details like opening hours or current menu offerings are best obtained at the source.

Anonymous: That is too funny! Gosh, if this forum were only for the purposes you suggest, we wouldn't have a forum. Meanwhile, I continue to welcome info from anyone who actually has some experience with the E & C.

My favorite place in the vicinity is Clark Street Ale House, but they don't serve food and I dunno if they let kids in. Many restaurants in the area however so maybe would be OK for a quick stop in the afternoon before dinner. You would probably get a "proper British pint" there if you ordered a Brit beer.

Hey Bitter, I called (I'm at work and it's really quiet) and they have London Pride on Tap.

Too bad you have the kids with you or I'd suggest you cab it up to Andersonville and check out the Hop Leaf. They have a book full of beers!

Don't forget your ear plugs for the ESPN Zone. That place is loud as heck!.

Depending on your kid's ages and whether or not you like theme park stuff, you might want to check out The Rainforest Cafe.

The Weber Grill Restaurant is nice (but the kids might not like it).

They may enjoy The Cheesecake Factory (unless you've been to one before).

Other than that, I can't think of anything for kids since I don't have any.

Thanks for the suggestions!
