Chicago Bears tailgating
 

I will be in Chicago for the weekend and will be attending the Buffalo Bills/Chicago Bears game on Sunday. What can I expect for tailgating? We are flying in and won't be equipped to do a typical parking lot tailgate. Are there bars and restaurants around the stadium? I'm thinking they may not serve alcohol prior to noon? Thanks in advance for your help.

As far as I know the bars do serve alcohol before noon. No where near the stadium but a great place to "bar tailgate," given the owner, is Ditka's. You could cab to the game afterwards.

Thanks for the suggestion. We are coming from Buffalo and would like to be at the stadium or in nearby bars where we will run into other Bills fans. Anyone else?

Very lively, opens at 11 am on Sundays and it's within walking distance to Soldier Field.

btw, IMHO DA Bears will KA on your little Bills ....... :-)

Thanks Jody. I did not have that information. We rode bikes today and there is nothing around Soldier Field. I felt like I was at a College stadium. Can't wait to see the inside. Did not have an NFL feel at all on the exterior. Go Bills!
