Thanks for the tip! I'll check into that, and find out if my husband likes that sort of jazz. Too bad it's not blues, he's a huge fan. Can I tell my best Chicago story?

My cousin was in Chicago w/ two other girls just for a fun trip. They go to a blues club. It's packed. My cousin in a beautiful blonde, who has become...voluptuous, if you will...in her thirties. Just makes her more of a stand-out in my opinion. Anyhow, she and her friends walk up to the front where two rows are marked reserved, and are empty except for an older black gentleman. J. says *insert Southern accent* "Can we sit here?" and the man says yes. She sits next to him and they chat for a while and he says what's your name, she says "J., what's your name?" and he says "Buddy Guy".

This week is Michael McDonald. They have blues greats as well. When it gets closer to July, you may want to check who is there on your date. You might hit a blues group or individual entertainer.

Great story. My father has a bunch. He picked up one of the great blues singer's (female) garbage for years. She used to come out and bring him a bear and they got to be good friends. I can't remember her name, she died just last year. I was more of a rock and roll/ and Motown person, but my guy listens to WNUA exclusively, so I've gotten some knowledge through him.

Have a great time in Chicago!

That's bring him a BEER, not a bear.

I'm too sick with a cold to type correctly, plus I know I'm not going to get much sleep tonight.

Go ILLINI!
