Chesapeake Resort - Florida Keys

Anyone been to this resort lately? What is the food like? What about this resort with babies? Any opinions are welcome.

I didn't stay there, but I stayed at the Cheeca Lodge and loved it!

We stayed at the Chesapeake Resort lastyear. It our family's favorite place to stay ever. You are right on the water, it has a big (for the key - huge) beautiful beach area with hammocks sprinkled here and there. The lagoon is great for fishing and snorkeling. Oceanfront rooms have incredible views of the ocean and overlook the scenic 2 swimming pools. The little cottages are fantastic too and nestled on the water - some of them water front. We didn't eat at the resort but went to various restuarants and cooked in our cottage too.

Chesapeake is very nice. Cheeca Lodge is also very nice. I'd recommend "Moorings Village" in Islamorada over either of them. Also, go to "Manny & Isa's" for the best Key Lime Pie.

Iam sure they don't have a restaurant at this point just a continental breakfast.
