Cherry Festival, Traverse City

Three adults will soon be in Traverse City for our first visit to the Cherry Festival. We visited Traverse City in May a few years back, and the weather was perfect. Could someone please advise as to what kind of weather we can expect in July, and the best kind of clothing to pack?
Thanks so much------

Typical July weather here is in the 80's during the day, and can be humid. It is generally a tish cooler at night...especially if you are on the water! Enjoy...but be prepared for tourist frenzy!!!!!

Never go to northern Michigan in any season without taking along a couple of warm things, unless you are willing to buy sweatshirts or sweaters if the weather turns cold.

Definitely pack for warm (80's) weather + one pair of pants w/ sweater/sweatshirt for the chance of cold weather. Although the weather is ususally consistantly BEAUTIFUL there, you never know if you will have a cold rainy day or a chilly evening.
