Cherry Blossoms

How are the trees looking? We will be arriving on Friday and staying through Wednesday -- never been to DC for the blossoms and really excited to see the display! Thanks for the help.

The National Park Service is predicting the peak bloom from April 3 - 5.

We are having a couple of warm days that should really push the blossoms out. As of today, the official blossom forecast is that there should be blossoms for the first two weeks of April with the peak April 3-5, so you are right on time. Looking out of my suburban office window, I see local trees beginning to bloom now. Don't forget your camera!

Consider driving a bit north to suburban MD to visit Kenwood. Put 'kenwood cherry' in the search box above to see information about this area from past posts.

Thanks for the great info! The camera is already packed. I'm really looking forward to this trip.

I don't know about DC but all the cherry blossoms I've seen in Baltimore area are in bloom and beautiful! I may take a day off next week to go take some pictures one early morning around the basin.
