Chelsea Grand in NYC - anyone stayed there?

There are some good last minute deals for this hotel on-line. It appears to be brand new. Which might be a good thing unless, of course they are still finishing up with the interior construction...Has anyone stayed here or heard anything about this new hotel? Advice please...

I live in Chelsea and am unfamiliar with this hotel. There is the Chelsea Savoy hotel and the Chelsea Hotel . . and the Tribeca Grand and the Soho Grand . . . .maybe you mean one of those?

The Four Points Sheraton (a branch of Starwood hotels), operating in collaboration with the British chain known as Chelsea Grand, just opened earlier this month, at 160 W. 25 (between 6 and 7th).

Without some first-hand information, I sure wouldn't venture to stay at a hotel during its first month of operations, there's too much risk that they're still finishing the construction, or the staff training, or something.

Does anyone know if this has actually opened? It's not listed on the Four Points website yet.

Ms_Harvey--may I ask where you found and how much are those good deals on the rates? I have out of town guests coming who would love to stay in Chelsea!

I saw the listing on "Quikbook.com" which is a great site for finding hotel deals. Easy to navigate, though they don't have EVERY city. The rate was $139 for December 27th, but you have to enter the date(s)you want and see what they come up with. I've decided to play it safe and stay elsewhere...

I haven't had a chance to walk by this place, and I can't find a phone number for it online or with 411 information--(not under Chelsea Grand or Four Points )--does anyone have a contact phone number for this hotel directly? Thanks

The phone number given on Quickbook.com for this hotel is: 212-627-1888

Short little article re: Chelsea Grand. Yes, I know the link says Orlando, but it's located within the "News" section. Have fun!!

Thanks. Using the phone number you gave me here (put into Google), I was actually able to get a link to the hotel's reservation page on the Four Points website -- it doesn't come up when you search the hotel website itself!

Can anyone review this hotel yet? Very curious. Thanks.

There is another thread about this hotel - do a search and you should find it. I think the original poster's name was SandyBrit - or click on mine and something should come up.
