Check out vs. flight time

Does anyone have an idea what to do with luggage, etc. when checkout time is noon, and my flight does not leave until late at night?

Most hotels have luggage rooms where you can leave your bags until you are ready to go to the airport.

Tip the bellman and he'll hook you up!

If you are a member of the hotels' frequent guest program, they will often let you stay later than checkout time. Additionally, some hotels will let you pay a day rate where you can check out at a late time that both parties agree upon. If that fails, there is usually a room for storing bags at the hotels.

All of the above are good suggestions. Most hotels have day rates. For example, at the Kauai Marriott you can rent a room from 9AM to 9PM for $100, very convenient for late night flights. Some hotels have free courtesy rooms available by reservation for an hour so you can take a shower and change for your flight after a day at the beach; the bellman can store the luggage.

Vivi, are you sure Marriott is the kind of establishment renting rooms by an hour? What brings me to the next question - are you Vivian from "Pretty woman"?
