Pasta Palazzo on Halsted at Armitage--actually you can just roam around the Armitage/Halsted area and find tons of relatively reasonable restaurants, mostly store front, single location places-my favorite.

Check out Tilli's on Halsted just south of Armitage. Great menu, great atmosphere. At night the bar area is quite lively. High ceilings, fireplaces, tables that spill out onto the sidewalk in the summer. Very cute and reasonable prices too.

Tilly's is good and just down from my above suggestion. Charlie Trotters also opened a to-go place in LP for a cheap version of the fancy restaurant. Can't remember the exact location but it's not far from the original.

I always like to check out chicagoeatsout.com for cheap (1/2 price) gift certificates that you can print out right on your computer.

My Pie for pizza, 2417 N. Clark just north of Fullerton, very close to the Lincoln Park Zoo. Or Chicago Pizza and Oven Grinders at 2121 N. Clark

Or Cafe Babareeba for Spanish tapas, 2024 N. Halsted. There's also Emilio's Tapas at 444 W. Fullerton, corner of Clark.
