Need cheap ticket from LA to New York. Any suggestions.

You might try Jet Blue.....also..I heard today that TWA has some great fairs at the moment......I usually fly Delta...so I am not really certain about my suggestions...but hey you wanted a cheap ticket..so think of this as cheap advise..

Look in the travel section of the Sunday LA Times for charter companies. Also try www.hotwire.com if you're flexible about what time of day you travel. Take their lowest price and then use it as your max bid on priceline.com. Start your priceline bidding at about 20-25% under the hotwire price. jet Blue does have some great promos right now and word has it that they're a great airline to fly on.

Try Vanguard airlines web site.

Jet Blue currently advertising a $99 one way ticket, JFk to LA. I don't think they operate out of LAX. In ad "Ontario" appears in parenthesis next to LA. <BR>(800)Jet-blue

Bite my tongue for mentioning the name, but AirTran has a big sale on out of DC. Maybe it's nationwide. Ugggh.

You can fly Southwest from one of the LA airports to Long Island/Islip. From Islip, the Long Island Railroad takes you right into Manhattan. <BR> <BR>Vanguard is another good choice.

I bought 2 tix from LAX to LaGuardia on American Trans Air ( www.ata.com) for 235 round trip.
