I used to visit a friend down there and we used to hit Melrose Ave. You would have second hand stores right next to the high end trendy boutique. I found some great clothes on that street.

Head downtown to the fashion district. Check www.fashiondistrict.org for a map and directions.

Well...there are several Loehmann's stores in the city. They carry everything from junk to fine European designer clothes, shoes and perfume, all at a discount! As my mother used to say...it's hit or miss. Do a Google search to find a convenient location.

There are also several outlet malls in and around the area, which sometimes have some good deals. Clothes, shoes and perfume can be found within the same mall. Again, a Google search will tell you about the various locations.

There are many consignment stores, particularly on the west side. Many wealthy people sell their slightly or never worn items, which can be had for a deal. I know there are several in Brentwood, but I don't know the names. Maybe Google does!

Am I on the right track? Let me know, and maybe I can come up with a few more ideas.
