Cheap, Safe Place to Stay in L.A. For One Month

Hello!

I have a friend who needs a place to stay for one month in Los Angeles and wants to spend no more than $1,500. The place needs to be clean and safe. Any hotel, apt. or other suggestions?

LA County is the size of Rhode Island. You would get some better suggestions if you narrow down what part of LA he wants to be in. If that matters.

You could check with the Oakwood Apartments, which are furnished corporate housing. Various places around town. Not sure of prices, though, I stayed there 15 years ago. Its a popular place for entertainment people during pilot seasons, they all have pools, laundry, tennis courts etc.

w/o knowing where s/he needs to be and whether s/he will have a car -- it is absolutley impossible to recommend anything at all specific.

You could also find a sublet situation on craigslist but again need to know the desired area, transportation issues, etc.

I cannot believe Oakwood is still around. I recall them from about 19 years ago in San Diego.

I also suggest Craig's list.
